Representational Art

Representational Art displays natural objects in a recognizable form.  “Mount Vesuvius at Midnight” is a work from artist Albert Bierstadt.  For many centuries tourists have been attracted to Mount Vesuvius in Italy. Mount Vesuvius erupts periodically, when Albert heard that the volcano erupted again he immediately went to Italy to capture the beauty of the volcano.  Albert’s work was highly realistic and has the ability to capture the imagination of many. What I found interesting about the painting was that it was different seeing the mountain at night
