The world Trade center
memorial is a good example of iconoclasm because of the criticism of the
memorial. Many feel that the memorial does not fill the void of the missing
towers. There were several proposals to rebuild the towers instead of having a
memorial. However the idea ended when families of the victims felt a memorial
was more appropriate. Although there hasn’t been any known attempts of
iconoclasm I feel that there will be in the future due to the many conspiracies
surrounding the tragedy of 911.
